Unveiling Arnie Lopez: Bridging Innovation and Heritage in Silicon Valley's Tech Landscape
We are excited to share that Arnaldo (Arnie) Lopez returns as one of our newest SVL Executive Cultura Ambassador. With his rich experience spanning over a quarter of a century in Silicon Valley’s Tech Community, coupled with his expertise in Networking, Cloud, and Security Solutions, Arnaldo is poised to further amplify the cultural and professional landscape as a true advocate and leader.
Arnie Lopez is the VP of WW Systems Engineering at Skyhigh Security. He is a 25-year veteran in Silicon Valley’s Technical Community with experience in Networking, Cloud and Security Solutions. Prior to Skyhigh Security he spent several years in Technology leadership roles with McAfee, Informatica, Proofpoint, Cisco, WebEx, PeopleSoft and Target Stores. He has a degree in International Business from San Francisco State University and has held several technical certifications throughout his career including CCIE, CISSP and AWS Cloud Practitioner.
Over his career, he has Developed and nurtured several relationships with Customer and Partner C-Level Executives. He is a regular technology presenter at Industry events and shows and his company Executive Briefing Center.

Arnie was born in La Paz Bolivia and came to San Francisco, California with his family when he was a young child. He went to high school in Union City, CA and then attended San Francisco State University on partial scholarship and working 2 part time jobs. He was always very curious, hardworking, and eager to learn.
He began his career at Target stores, first repairing desktop computers, then building application servers, and finally teaching himself how to be an IBM Mainframe Security Administrator. He then became a Network Security Engineer at PeopleSoft, where he was in charge of developing and securing their corporate applications and networks. This experience led to an offer from Cisco to join as a Systems Engineer to work as a Security Specialist with the largest high-tech companies in Silicon Valley. He quickly discovered that he enjoyed mentoring and developing others and was promoted to a leadership position. He has never looked back since his first opportunity to lead, and he has continued to grow and develop his technical leadership career at a number of technology companies.

He has a passion for mentoring other young technology professionals, especially young Latinos early in their careers. He still lives in the Bay Area with his wife and family and loves to run and hike in the beautiful east bay hills. He is a huge sports fan and loves his Oakland Raiders, Oakland A’s, Golden State Warriors, San Jose Earthquakes, and European football teams FC Barcelona and Liverpool.
As a proud Bolivian American, he never forgets where he came from and he and his family are regular volunteers at the Alameda County and 2nd Harvest Food Banks in the Bay Area.
