Silicon Valley Latino is excited to welcome Anna Dapelo-Garcia as one of our newest SVL Advisory Board Members.
Anna's journey is a testament to resilience, determination, and a deep commitment to empowering the Latinx community. Anna states “The mission and vision of Silicon Valley Latino that engages and celebrates successful Latinos within our community, aligns deeply with my personal lived experience growing up in East San Jose and my professional role as Founder & President of Lean In Latinas.”
Hailing from East San Jose, California, Anna's upbringing in a paycheck-to-paycheck household never deterred her from pursuing her dreams. Despite facing challenges, she seized every opportunity to learn and grow, eventually finding her passion in the healthcare industry.
Anna's academic achievements, including a Master of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s College, coupled with her dedication to her career, led her to become the first Latina Executive Director at her workplace. Alongside her professional success, Anna founded Lean In Latinas, a platform dedicated to supporting and uplifting Latinas in their personal and professional endeavors.
Anna's impact extends beyond her professional achievements. She has been recognized as a Silicon Valley Business Journal Women of Influence, received the Top Latino Leaders Award by the National Diversity Council, and served on various boards and councils dedicated to women's empowerment and diversity in leadership.
Now, as she joins the SVL Advisory Board, Anna brings her wealth of experience and passion for diversity and inclusion to the forefront.
Join us in extending a warm welcome to Anna Dapelo-Garcia as she embarks on this new chapter with SVL. Together, we look forward to driving positive change and creating a more inclusive future for all. Welcome, Anna!
