Dr. Belinda Hernandez Arriaga is a prominent mental health professional, educator, and social advocate. She is the founder and executive director of Ayudando Latinos a Soñar (ALAS), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting Latino families through mental health services, education, and cultural initiatives. Dr. Hernandez Arriaga holds a doctorate in Education from the University of San Francisco, where she also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Counseling Psychology Department. Her clinical work focuses on trauma among immigrant children and farmworker mental health. She has played a vital role in helping communities recover from traumatic events, including providing critical support to farmworkers affected by the Half Moon Bay shooting.
