Born to parents of Mexican descent, he is the 3rd generation in the USA and considers himself fortunate that Spanish was spoken at home. Rich graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.
Rich started coding web pages in 1996 and by 2006 he was the lead frontend engineer on the Yahoo! Front Page. He was also the first frontend engineer on My Yahoo!. A seasoned user-interface developer for 18 years, he has created applications for some of the world’s most trafficked sites including Yahoo!, AOL and eBay.
In 2008, he co-founded Blyve.com, a live Q&A Platform that boasts customers such as the LA Times, the U.S. Department of State, and Shell Oil.
