Silicon Valley Latino Hall of Fame

On June 14, 2008, the Mexican American Community Services Agency (MACSA) celebrated its 2nd Annual Red Carpet Gala which featured the Most Influential Latinos of Silicon Valley. Additionally, MACSA inaugurated the Silicon Valley Latino Hall of Fame which is housed at the Mexican Heritage Plaza in an actual hallway that runs along the side the Mexican Heritage Plaza Theater.

That evening MACSA had the pleasure of inducting seven legendary Latino leaders into the Silicon Valley Latino Hall of Fame. They are Civic Leader - Blanca Alvarado, American Civil Rights Leader - Cesar E. Chavez, Education Trailblazer - Dr.Roberto Cruz, Humanitarian, Activist, and Author - Ernesto Galarza, Founder of the pueblo of San Jose - Jose Joaquin Moraga, and Community Advocates and volunteers (sisters) Lupe and Carmen Sanchez.

Our founder, Alex Ontiveros, spearheaded this initiative and chaired the planning and selection committee along with Latino leaders, Olivia Soza-Mendiola, Fernando Zazueta, Ivonne Montes de Oca, Teresa Alvarado and Cindy Chavez.

We invite you and your family to visit the beautiful Mexican Heritage Plaza and the Silicon Valley Latino Hall of Fame where you can read the bios of these legendary leaders.
