Captivating Congress: Our Award-Winning Documentary Shines a Light on Vital Issues

We are delighted to share that Congressman Adam Schiff and Congresswoman Anna G. Eshoo have invited us to present our award-winning documentary to members of congress, congressional staff and others outside of congress as well as to be part of a panel that will discuss labor, immigration, social safety net programs and agricultural issues.

When Joe Poni (director) and Alex Ontiveros (producer) set out to produce this documentary it was as a passion project that would help tell the stories of our farmworkers, essentially a tribute film. They had never imagined that it would take a life of its own and receive multiple awards, be screening at numerous tech, corporate, educational institutions and community based organizations, and ultimately take us to the nation's capital, Washington DC where we will discuss long overdue calls to actions for our farmworkers.

 

As we all know, work like this doesn't happen in a vacuum, we have had an entire tribe of supporters, collaborators, champions and friends who have supported this project along the way. At this time we want to thank some of those who have been there for us and with us on this journey.
