Josef Castañeda-Liles - SVL Cultura Ambassador

  We are excited to continue with the SVL Cultura Ambassador highlight of Josef Castañeda-Liles: Josef Castañeda-Liles holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from University of California, Santa Barbara.  He has written on the topics of immigration, race relations, and mixed race identity, among other areas.  He is the editor, along with his wife Dr. Maria del Socorro Castañeda-Liles, of Portraits of the Dream, which features narratives of formerly undocumented individuals working as professionals in various sectors. He currently serves as the Senior Associate Director of Prospect Research at Santa Clara University, where he provides research support to the fundraising team. He also serves on the board of Sabor del Valle, an annual event that brings together boutique vintners and restaurants at History Park San Jose to raise funds for local nonprofits. He is passionate about promoting the ways in which Latinos contribute to the cultural and economic vitality of this region and this country.
