We are delighted to share that our #CreoEnTi Business Ambassador and long-time supporter of Silicon Valley Latino, Nancy Rosales has been selected to receive the Latina Empresaria Hall of Fame award at this year’s 40th Annual California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce event!
Nancy’s success, achievements, and honors span two decades. She truly has a comprehensive background that ranges from journalism and media to entrepreneurship. She earned a Broadcast Journalism degree from San Francisco State University and has worked as an editor, reporter, account executive and television producer throughout her career with media outlets like Univision, KRON and Azteca US. Some of the projects Nancy is proud of include: Exitos de Estrellas 2001 (Execute Director / Host TV Show), Corazón Musical 2003 (Execute Producer Creator / Host TV Show), Corazón Viajero 2006 (Partner / Producer / Host Traveling Show) and The Travelers Channel 2016 (Producer / Host).

In 2007, she began her entrepreneurial path as a business partner in Pepito’s Paletas, a minority-women owned co-op. A couple of years later, she launched NR Consulting, a strategic media firm and her latest venture Easy Video Success in 2019. Throughout her journey, Nancy has received numerous honors and awards such as the Latina Style Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year, being featured on the cover of Red Social Hispana Magazine, Univision 14 – International Women’s Day feature and the most recent, California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Latina Empresaria Hall of Fame Award.

Silicon Valley Latino is proud to have featured Nancy as one of our panelists through our Inspire Higher initiative over the past few years as well as our Master of Ceremonies at our inaugural College Declaration Day in 2017 and as a champion of the work we lead. We also want to thank her for being an exemplary entrepreneur and demonstrating to us that one can achieve success in various industries while giving back to your community.

Sophia Chavez, Latina graphic designer and LMU senior, grew up watching her community's cultura get celebrated while the people behind it stayed invisible. She didn't look away. She built her thesis around it. SVL has told this story before — Carlos Perez drew the original Apple logo by hand and the world consumed it billions of times without ever knowing his name. Now we tell Sophia's. Silicon Valley Latino celebrates her as our newest Collegiate Cultura Ambassador.
Most people in the moving industry move things. Griselda Gonzalez moves industries. This month, May 2026, she becomes Chair of the Board of the California Moving and Storage Association — the sixth woman and the first immigrant Latina to hold the position in its more than 100-year history.
Angela Flores Robertson didn't wait for permission. A first-gen Latina, SVL Cultura Ambassador, and Advisory Board member — she builds the table and makes sure every seat is filled.
