We are continuing our series on Cañada College's Promise Scholars Program (PSP). This time we are featuring the financial benefits of the program.
Specifically, the Promise Scholars Program covers the cost of attending Cañada College for the first full year and continues to offer other financial supports after completion of that first year. This financial support includes 1) coverage of college fees for the first full year (the first fall, spring, and summer semesters) at Cañada College (enrollment fee, health fee, student rep fee, student union fee, study body fee), 2) textbook costs and 3) transportation costs (scholars will receive funds to help cover transportation costs).

In moments of fear and uncertainty, Ayudando Latinos A Soñar (ALAS) is leading with love and action—providing mental health support, emergency relief, and hope to families and educators impacted by immigration raids. This is what community-centered leadership looks like when it matters most.
When policies threaten California’s coastline and frontline communities, Latina leadership steps forward. This month, Marcela Gutiérrez-Graudiņš and the team at Azul led a powerful call to reject offshore drilling—framing it for what it is: environmental injustice that puts communities of color at risk. Their work reminds us that protecting our environment means protecting our people.
