Dr. Belinda Hernandez-Arriaga Joins SVL Advisory Board

Dr. Belinda Hernandez Arriaga is a prominent mental health professional, educator, and social advocate. She is the founder and executive director of Ayudando Latinos a Soñar (ALAS), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting Latino families through mental health services, education, and cultural initiatives. Dr. Hernandez Arriaga holds a doctorate in Education from the University of San Francisco, where she also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Counseling Psychology Department. Her clinical work focuses on trauma among immigrant children and farmworker mental health. She has played a vital role in helping communities recover from traumatic events, including providing critical support to farmworkers affected by the Half Moon Bay shooting.

We (Silicon Valley Latino) are honored to welcome Dr. Belinda Hernandez Arriaga to the SVL Advisory Board. Her extensive experience in mental health advocacy and her leadership at ALAS align perfectly with our mission to empower Latino communities. Dr. Hernandez Arriaga's dedication to trauma recovery and her expertise in mental health services will bring invaluable insights to our board.
