Silicon Valley Latino is excited to spotlight the 2024 State of Hispanic Wealth Report, released in September during Hispanic Heritage Month. The Hispanic Wealth Project (HWP), launched by NAHREP's leaders Gary Acosta and Jason Riveiro in 2014, has shaped a path to triple Hispanic household wealth, fueled by goals in homeownership, small business growth, and financial investments.
Today, Latino-owned businesses are thriving, growing at ten times the national average and generating $573 billion annually. Yet only 1.5% of venture capital reaches Latino founders. HWP’s vision includes expanding Latino-owned businesses to 600,000 and tripling venture funding by 2034.
