Raices - Creo En Ti Summit

On Saturday, November 9, 2019, Silicon Valley Latino had the honor of partnering up with Santa Clara University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission and the Latinx Student Union for the inaugural “Raices - Creo En Ti Summit.” Over 450 high school students, parents, faculty, staff, Latino professionals and SVL Latino Leader Award recipients along with several sponsors came together for this high touch and high impact summit! Students and parents came from as far away as Sacramento and Merced to Santa Clara University, to participate in this one of a kind one-day empowerment conference which included several workshops and panel discussions on Financial Aid, Health Care, Business, STEM, and Intro to Coding.

At the conclusion of the summit, we held the 2019 SVL Latino Leaders Award Ceremony where we paid tribute to 20 remarkable leaders. Special thanks to our summit sponsors and collaborators Palo Alto Networks, Delta/AeroMexico, Kaiser Permanente, Aruba Networks, Morgan Stanley, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Omniscient CRM, Pahl & McCay, San Jose Evergreen Community College District, Study.com, The Foundation for Hispanic Education, LISTAS and ABC7 as well as numerous professional Latinos and countless volunteers. Here's our complete Raices - Creo En Ti Summit Highlight Video, enjoy. We look forward to engaging you at our next summit!
