Analiese Hernandez - Collegiate Cultura Ambassador

It is our pleasure to introduce our latest Silicon Valley Latino Collegiate Cultura Ambassador, Analiese Hernandez.

Analiese is currently a second year at Oregon State University and pursuing a degree in Marketing. She gained her inspiration from her parents who are both first-generation college graduates and paved a path for their children to chase their dreams. She strives to make her parents proud and use her drive to make a difference and represent the Latino community.

Attending college out-of-state has been a growing experience for Analiese as she gained much independence and has persevered throughout her obstacles. Throughout all terms at Oregon State, she has maintained a 4.0 GPA as well as an Honor Roll student, which is an honor that less than two percent of the College of Business have achieved. Analiese’s interest in marketing stems from her experiences on the Public Relations committee in high school and leading the marketing team for a term long projected in which her team developed a company.

Analiese is a currently serving on the executive council for her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, as her chapter’s Panhellenic Delegate. As Panhellenic Delegate, she represents the entire chapter at biweekly meetings, manages a committee, and develops new methods to emphasize diversity and encourage members to be more involved. She is also a mentor for the College of Business, in which she is responsible for four freshman students to help them with their transition into college and provide them with individualized resources to be successful. She is a member of the Women in Leadership club as she is passionate about empowering women and learning from their experiences.

In a community where Hispanics are a large minority, Analiese volunteered to teach a Spanish-speaking third-grade class about the importance of financial literacy and motivate them to discuss their aspirations for their future. She is inspired by viewing features of successful Latino’s via SVL’s platforms and hopes to one day be an inspiration for others.

Analiese is excited for what the rest of her journey has to offer and optimistic to secure an internship that will allow her to utilize her marketing, leadership, and communication skills to contribute to the success of the company.
