Ricardo Santamaria joined Bank of the West a BNP Paribas company in January 2019. Ricardo leads the wealth management group’s business development and sales strategy group and is responsible for developing and executing a cross channel strategy by enhancing client experience of distribution of wealth products and services throughout the footprint. He develops and implements sales strategies and initiatives, monitors and tracks results, develops online campaigns and promotions, provides tools for sales activities and provides summary reports and updates to senior management. In addition, he identifies trends and exploits opportunities for income growth for the Bank by translating the sales strategy into daily behaviors.
Prior to joining Bank of the West (BNP) Ricardo was a Vice President and Business Development Director at Morgan Stanley. Ricardo worked for Morgan Stanley for 17 years. The last 10 years he worked on one of the firms largest wealth management teams the Mark Curtis group based in Palo Alto. Ricardo joined Morgan Stanley (and its predecessor firms) in 2001. In 2010, Mr. Santamaria received the Western Region Consulting Group Analyst of the Year award.
Mr. Santamaria holds a M.B.A. from Santa Clara University. He currently lives in Cupertino, Ca and enjoys playing basketball as well as coaching his 2 sons in basketball and other sports!
